Why become a volunteer

Give back to your community

As a volunteer, you can use your expertise to help shape the future workforce by supporting educators and students in developing key skills and career insights.

Flexibility

Volunteering sessions last just one hour and are all online. There’s also no minimum commitment – you decide how much or how little to volunteer. Schedule meetings at times that suit you.

Gain new skills

Volunteering your time gives you transferable skills that make you a better manager, communicator, and team member.

Grow your network

Meet and get inspired by fellow volunteers from a range of industries and countries.

How it Works

Becoming a F4S Volunteer is quick and easy. You can join on your own terms and volunteer on a schedule that works for you.

Start volunteering in three easy steps:

01

Tell us about yourself

We’ll ask you to fill in a quick form so we can get to know you and find out a bit about your skills and experience.

02

Let us know how often you’d like to volunteer

Tell us the approximate number of hours you’d like to contribute each month. You can change this at any time!

03

Accept requests whenever you can help

We’ll find educators that would love to learn from you and you’ll get details of each request via email and your dashboard. Simply accept the request and your session will be confirmed! If you can’t help in that instance, don’t worry, we’ll connect the educators with someone else who can help.

What Our Volunteers Think

Sean Redmond

Founder and CEO of Vertizan

"They should never doubt that a small team of people can change the world"

“It was a pleasure to talk with the Sixth Form as they embark on their new school year. These students will be entering the job market at the most exciting time for technology innovation ever. They should never doubt that a small team of people can change the world, and the choices they make now need to provide a springboard for their future.”

Simon Kelly

Director at LinkedIn

“If you can influence just one students to take a risk and raise their aspirations, it is really worth it”

“Brilliant organisation before the event, it was really great fun. If you can influence just one student to take a risk and raise their aspirations, it is really worth it.”

Stuart Mackintosh

Director at Xi Software Limited

“It was of great value to put my mind to the lessons I had learned and how I should communicate this"

“I hope the pupils benefited from the event as much as the speakers! For me, it was of great value to put my mind to the lessons I had learned and how I should communicate this to the students at Greenwood. If this inspired just one person, it was well worthwhile”
